Install 5,000 Smoke Alarms in FY20

City of Memphis Fire Services has an ongoing program to reduce residential fire fatalities through the installation and maintenance of smoke alarms and fire prevention education in partnership with Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office (SFMO). This element measures the number of smoke alarms installed or replaced as well as batteries replaced or changed. In FY19, Fire Services was able to successfully install 5,030 smoke alarms, surpassing the goal of 5,000.
